Seremban Siew Bao

The mother of Mr. Teh, the CEO of Empayar Seremban Siew Bao, created siew bao in the 1970s. The story began when Madam Teh tried out baking siew bao instead of steaming it. Her family, friends and neighbours simply loved her creation. Encouraged by her husband, Madam Teh began selling her siew bao in their family provisional shop. Words of mouth of her sumptuous siew bao spread and built a popular following for her creation. In the 1980s, her son took over Madam Teh’s cottage business, and slowly expanded his business. He named it “Seremban Siew Bao” in honour of its provenance. By his sheer perseverance in the ups and downs of business, steady hard-work, he has built an empire out of this humble little siew bao. Now, Mr. Teh has brought his Seremban Siew Bao and his other creations such as his famous baked chicken to the shores of China.
